| We are to stay away from lusting after what others have; their life, wife, family, position, looks, money, or all their goods. The antedote for Covetousness is Contentment. Paul in Philip. 4:11 said he had learned to be content in whatever circumstance he was in. Satisfied to the point where one is not disturbed or disquieted. Is contentment possible with all of life's "breaks", and "gaps"? Yes, through a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ, and single vision; a heart that focuses on the best of life, on "one thing". |
