Social Justice: Is it Biblical?

Jesus said there would always be the poor; He also said let the dead bury the dead.

He also said to feed the hungry, heal those who are sick, neither of those conditions have anything to do with social equality. Social equality does not exist...there will always be slaves, and free, there will always be the poor and the rich. Man despite his best efforts will never be able to eradicate the poor and the down trodden, that is the job of Jesus Christ. He came to save the sinner...all of us.

1 Corinthians 13:3 (NASB) And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

Paul makes a broad claim that social justice and martyrdom profit nothing without love.

1 Corinthians 13:4 - 7 (NASB) Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

As a Christian our love for another person should not be based upon a perceived wrong done by them or to them...we are to love them without any distinction.

Many pagan people give to just and good causes...the Freemasons support the St. Judes, a wonderful cause, but yet they are a pagan group that worships demons. Hindu's give to good causes but they pray to multitudes of demons. Muslims feed the poor but pray to Allah.

Paul taught that we are treat other people as if they are better than us...so social justice is not desired, but servant-hood is desired, putting all others ahead of ourselves.

Serving people does not change their social or economic status, or their God given abilities. Serving is what we are commanded to do by Jesus and it is a demonstration of Jesus Christ has done for us all, He thought more of us so much, that He died upon a cross so that we might have eternal life...not social justice on this earth.

Liberalism is a movement to redefine what the Bible states to be right; as wrong. Homosexuality is a sin to; homosexuality is not a sin, or abortion as a sin; to abortion is a choice...or women are not to be pastors to; women can be pastors. This is not a broad generalization...social justice or equality is Satan trying to stir the pot…nothing more.

Thank you and God Bless you this day and all days.
